History: In the early 1950's after immigrating from Solingen, Germany, and settling in New York, Herman Stocker took the initial steps that have led to a success story spanning four generations. At the behest of his brother-in-law, the factory works manager of Rasspe in Solingen, Germany, Herman Stocker tried to sell some of the slicing knife products in the U.S.A. After much ground-breaking leg work, and good, old-fashioned hard work, many distributors and manufacturers were extremely impressed with the excellent quality of the Rasspe/Stocker line of processing knives.
Some years later his son, Ralph Stocker, took over the business and subsequently navigated the company through a period of great expansion. Under his influence the company began to manufacture high quality replacement parts for slicing machines. This proved to be a natural fit as customers could now come to one source for both excellent knives and stones as well as a full line of repair parts. It was through his thoughtful and experienced guidance that 'Stocker' gained prominence in the industry. In the late 1980's Ralph Stocker stepped down, leaving his son Lee Stocker in charge of operations. With an eye for developing and adding new products while adhering to the solid foundation and business principles forged by his father and grandfather, Lee Stocker has lead the company to the present day.
Stocker is now undergoing another exciting transition. Beginning in the summer of 2016, Michael Stocker joined the company. The fourth generation of the Stocker & Sons name has brought new ideas and excitement. Mike is proud and determined to uphold the of high standards in quality product and service his great-grandfather, grandfather, and father have established over many hard-working years.
Today, L. Stocker & Sons, Inc. represents the finest German-made products for food slicing and processing. The company's tradition of quality and excellence is yours now, along with the highest-caliber of customer service and support.
